Bastion Cells are a big deal once you get deeper into ARC Raiders, especially when you start upgrading your gear. They don't really come from casual looting like other materials—you mostly get them by taking down Bastions, which are some of the tougher ARC enemies in the game. It can feel rough at first, but once you get used to how they work, farming them becomes pretty consistent ARC Raiders Coins.
The main way to get Bastion Cells is simple: find a Bastion, kill it, and loot everything. These machines usually show up in specific areas rather than randomly, and players often run into them in places like Stella Montis, Spaceport, Buried City, and The Blue Gate. Stella Montis in particular tends to be a reliable spot if you're actively looking to farm.
Fighting a Bastion is where most of the challenge is. They hit hard and can overwhelm you if you just stand in the open, so playing around cover is key. A lot of people use corners, doorways, or tight spaces where you can peek, deal damage, and back off safely. If you can, aim for weak points like the legs to slow it down or stagger it—that makes the whole fight much easier to control.
Your gear helps, but you don't need perfect weapons to get it done. Strong anti-ARC options like the Hullcracker definitely speed things up, but you can still manage with more basic setups if you play carefully. Grenades and anything that can interrupt or pressure the Bastion are useful too. The faster you break its mobility or expose its core, the less dangerous the fight becomes.
After you take it down, make sure you actually take your time looting. The cells come from the wreckage, and they're not always in just one obvious spot. Check the main body and the legs, since they can drop separately. Most runs seem to give a few cells per Bastion, usually somewhere around two to six if you search properly. Since they stack, it's a good idea to stash at least one safely right away so you don't risk losing everything if something goes wrong later.
They're worth the effort because you'll need them for higher-level upgrades, especially once you get into the later tiers of the Gear Bench. Even beyond that, they're useful for credits or recycling, so extra ones never really go to waste u4gm ARC Raiders Coins.
Once you get into the rhythm, it's basically a loop: check known spawn areas, pick your fight carefully, break the Bastion down piece by piece, loot everything, and get out. You can do it solo, but it's definitely easier with a squad since someone can draw attention while others focus weak points. Either way, once you know what you're doing, Bastion Cells stop feeling rare and start becoming something you can farm pretty reliably.
