Navigating the Buried City can be a real headache, especially when the game throws vague clues your way. If you're currently hunting for specific ARC Raiders Items to upgrade your gear, you'll likely run into the Line in the Sand quest sooner or later. It's one of those missions where the map markers don't do you many favors, leaving you to wander around sand-choked ruins. The trick isn't just about finding the right spot; it's about following a trail that starts with a train that never made it to its destination. Don't bother checking Marano Station right away because the actual wreck is further south, tucked between the Maintenance Depot and the Warehouse.
Once you've stumbled upon that derailed train, your next move is to figure out who actually pulled off the heist. You'll want to head northeast toward Piazza Roma. There's a small, half-buried tower near the edge of a wall that most players just run right past. Climb inside, and you'll find the Marano Market Business Card. This little scrap of paper is the "aha!" moment that links the whole thing to the Market Ruins. Even though the card says "Marano Market," look for the "Market Ruins" label on your map, just east of the Hospital. Just getting close to the building is usually enough to tick this part off your list.
After you've scouted the ruins, keep pushing northeast toward the edge of the map, specifically the area north of Dune's End. You're looking for a standalone apartment building that looks a bit isolated. Head inside and look for the basement access. There's a zipline that takes you straight down into the lower levels, which feels a bit like stepping into a trap, but it's where the goods are. Instead of a big boss fight or a heavy loot haul, you just need to find a stack of boxes and snap a photo. It's a bit of an anticlimax, but hey, it gets the job done and keeps you moving toward the exit.
The latest update actually made life a bit easier for Raiders. They've tweaked the Turbines so you can actually hear them coming from further away, and those annoying proximity mines are way easier to spot now. Plus, being able to drop carryables while Ticks are chewing on your leg is a huge quality-of-life fix. When you finally get back to Celeste, she'll hook you up with Exodus Modules and Magnetrons. If you're looking to save some time on the grind, some players just pick up cheap Raiders weapons to handle the tougher bots while finishing these runs. Just remember to extract safely, or all that running around in the sand was for nothing.
