If you’ve spent any time exploring the war-torn planets of Helldivers 2, you know the drill. You break open a buried container or clear out a crashed escape pod, and you see that familiar blue icon waiting for you. You pick it up, and your UI ticks up by the standard 10 Super Credits (SC). It’s an honest day's work for democracy.
But every once in a while, the RNG gods look down on you with immense favor. You pick up a pile, and instead of the usual pocket change, a whopping 100 Super Credits flashes on your screen.
For the uninitiated, hitting this 100 SC jackpot can feel like a glitch. But it’s actually a brilliant, incredibly rare feature built right into the game by Arrowhead Game Studios. The developers added a tiny randomized modifier to the loot tables, meaning any standard Super Credit drop has a miniscule chance to multiply tenfold. According to community data and a lot of tracking by veteran players, the odds of pulling this massive payout are roughly 1%.
So, where exactly do you find these jackpots, and is there a way to tip the scales in your favor?
The most important thing to know is that the 100 SC stack doesn’t have a special look or its own unique chest. It behaves exactly like a regular credit pickup and is entirely dependent on randomized map generation. It will only spawn at Minor Places of Interest (POIs) scattered across the map, hidden in the exact same three spots where you find normal credits:
Two-Player Bunkers: Those heavy blast doors that require you and a teammate to hit the buttons simultaneously. (Always ping these for your squad—nothing hurts more than leaving a potential jackpot sealed behind steel doors).
Buried Cargo Containers: The rectangular metal doors built into rock walls and hillsides. You’ll need an explosive, a grenade, or a heavy weapon to blow them open.
Crashed Escape Pods: The small, metallic pods that shoot a blinking golden light beacon into the sky, making them relatively easy to spot from a distance.
Because the 100 SC stack is governed by raw random number generation, there is no secret button or trigger to force it to spawn. You can’t cheat the system. However, dedicated Super Credit farmers have figured out how to maximize their efficiency, opening as many POIs as humanly possible per hour to brute-force the 1% odds.
If you want to try farming POIs yourself, here is the current community meta:
Stick to Trivial Difficulty: Drop solo into Difficulty 1 (Trivial) missions. The maps are much smaller, meaning you can clear the whole zone quickly, and there are barely any enemy patrols to slow your sprint.
Pick Optimal Biomes: Look for flat, desert-like planets. Clear weather and sparse vegetation mean you can see across the map easily, allowing you to spot those glowing golden escape pod beacons or distinct terrain features from far away.
Dress for Speed: Equip light scout armor for the stamina boost and pair it with high-mobility stratagems—like a jump pack or a fast recon vehicle—to sprint around the map’s perimeter in record time.
Grab and Leave: Once you’ve swept the map clean of its POIs, don’t bother waiting for extraction. Just open your menu and return to your ship alone. Super Credits instantly save to your account the second you pick them up, so extracting is just a waste of farming time.
(A quick heads-up for anyone looking up old guides: there used to be an exploit where players could force-close their game to reload the exact same map and grab a discovered 100 SC stack over and over. Arrowhead has since patched that out, so your only option now is the old-fashioned grind.)
At the end of the day, hitting the 100 SC jackpot is just a beautiful stroke of luck. It turns a standard routine run into a moment of genuine excitement. So keep blowing up those cargo containers and opening those bunkers—your next drop just might fund your next Premium Warbond.
