FC 27 is almost ready to launch, and Ultimate Team players have plenty to prepare for before entering the new game. The opening days will feature several important events, including the launch update, early access, the Web App, EA Play, pre-order rewards, and the first competitive rewards. For anyone planning to build a strong squad quickly, understanding the schedule and managing FIFA 27 Coins efficiently could make a major difference during the early market.
The first major date to watch is September 14, when EA is expected to release the FC 27 launch update pitch notes. These notes should provide important information about how Ultimate Team will operate throughout the opening weeks. Players are particularly interested in the updated reward systems for Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and Champions.
EA has already indicated that coins and tradable packs will have a bigger presence in rewards this year. If this change is implemented as expected, it could significantly influence the early transfer market. More tradable packs could increase player supply, while additional coins could give active players greater purchasing power. Knowing when these rewards become available will therefore be important for anyone trying to take advantage of market fluctuations.
The Gallery is another feature that should receive more attention in the launch notes. Gallery Tokens are expected to help players unlock special Hall of Foot items, potentially creating another progression path outside traditional packs and objectives. Understanding how the Gallery works from the beginning could help players decide where to spend their time during the first few days.
EA may also reveal a live-service content roadmap. This could clarify the order of upcoming seasons and promotions. Current information suggests that Future Stars could appear much earlier than expected, while Ultimate Scream, Hall of Foot, Winter Wildcards, and Team of the Year are linked to later seasons. The roadmap should provide a clearer distinction between confirmed plans and current leaks.
September 15 will bring early FC 27 gameplay access for selected creators. Ultimate Team is expected to become available several hours after the daily content goes live. This period will be extremely valuable because early players can investigate SBCs, objectives, the Gallery, packs, and reward structures before the wider community gets access.
The September 16 Web App launch is arguably one of the most important preparation opportunities for regular players. The Web App should allow users to open their welcome packs, complete early SBCs, manage club items, and begin trading before entering the full game. Players may also be able to earn Gallery Tokens and additional rewards through the new system.
Team of the Week 1 is expected around the same time, which could add another layer to the opening market. The Web App phase is traditionally important for identifying cheap players, popular cards, and potential investments before the full player base arrives.
On September 17, EA Play is expected to provide another route into FC 27. The service offers a 10-hour trial for eligible subscribers, with access expected to begin at 1:00 p.m. UK time, or 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time. This can be particularly useful for players who have not purchased an Ultimate Edition but still want to test the game before deciding whether to commit fully.
However, early access does not necessarily mean all pre-order rewards become available immediately. Players using the Web App or EA Play should not expect to receive rewards such as the 85+ Icon pack, FC Points, or Hall of Foot Player Pick before the official early-access release.
September 18 is the major early-access date for eligible editions of FC 27. Access is expected to begin at midnight in the player's local time zone. This is when qualifying pre-order rewards should become available, including the 85+ Icon pack. Ultimate Plus owners can also receive additional FC Points through the scheduled reward drops and gain access to the Hall of Foot Player Pick.
The transfer market could become extremely volatile once early access begins. Thousands of players will enter Ultimate Team, open packs, and list unwanted items simultaneously. This can create a temporary drop in player prices before demand pushes certain cards upward again. Monitoring these movements will be particularly important during the first few days.
For gameplay, Squad Battles should be one of the first modes players consider. The initial Squad Battles rewards are expected on September 21, making the mode a reliable early source of rewards. Moments can also be useful for completing objectives and collecting additional resources.
Team of the Week 2 should arrive around September 23, while the first Division Rivals rewards are expected on September 24. Rivals could provide another important supply of coins and tradable packs, potentially causing another wave of market activity just before the global launch.
September 25 marks the global release of the standard edition. This should bring the largest influx of players into FC 27 and is also expected to introduce the first major promotion, Destined for Glory. At the same time, Ones to Watch is reportedly the name of Season 1, with its own objectives, SBCs, and Season Pass content.
The launch schedule continues into the end of September. Another Squad Battles reward cycle is expected on September 28, followed by another Team of the Week around September 30. The first Champions competition should arrive around the beginning of October, giving competitive players another major target.
A second pre-order FC Points drop is also expected sometime between October 1 and October 15, although the exact timing may vary. Overall, FC 27's opening weeks will be packed with opportunities to earn rewards, trade players, complete objectives, and build a competitive squad. Players who plan their time carefully and manage their buy FIFA Coins wisely will have a much better chance of taking advantage of the early market and establishing a strong Ultimate Team.
