Conquest is especially useful for players who enjoy MLB The Show 26 but would rather avoid spending most of their time in competitive online modes. The short CPU games make it possible to combine several objectives without changing modes constantly. When managed correctly, MLB The Show Stubs become just one part of a wider Diamond Dynasty resource plan rather than the only thing you focus on.
A good Conquest session starts before the first pitch. MLB The Show Stubs can help with roster planning and other Diamond Dynasty activities, but efficient offline progress comes from using the cards you already have in ways that overlap with current programs. A lineup built around mission requirements can produce much more value than a lineup selected purely by overall rating.
Open the active programs before choosing your Conquest lineup. Look for objectives involving specific teams, divisions, player cards, positions, or statistics.
Team Affinity missions are particularly easy to combine with Conquest. If you are working on a particular division, add eligible players throughout the lineup rather than trying to complete every objective separately. Hits and home runs can accumulate naturally while you clear Strongholds.
The same principle applies to featured programs. If a Spotlight player needs PXP, use that card in Conquest whenever practical. A card does not need to be the best player at its position to be useful. If it is helping complete an active mission, its presence can save time later.
Pitching objectives can sometimes take longer than hitting objectives because there are fewer opportunities to accumulate statistics during a three-inning game. That makes pitcher selection important.
When a specific starter has a PXP or strikeout objective, consider using that pitcher for multiple Stronghold games. Keeping the progress concentrated makes it easier to track your remaining requirement.
There is also a practical reason to avoid constantly changing pitchers. If several starters are used for small amounts of progress, none of them may reach the desired milestone quickly. A focused approach can make the mission feel much shorter.
Map choice should match your current reason for playing Conquest.
The Shark Map is a natural option for players looking for hidden rewards and completion packs. The Lightning Map can be useful when the main goal is collecting its one-time rewards. The Subway Map offers a more even mixture of hidden rewards and completion bonuses.
For players focused on longer Team Affinity sessions, USA regional maps provide a large territory layout that can support extended grinding. They are especially useful when team-related objectives are part of the current program workload.
There is no requirement to use the same map every time. Changing maps based on your current objectives can keep the mode useful throughout the program cycle.
The map itself should not consume most of your playtime. Neutral territory games can generally be simulated once you have enough fans and a safe route through the board.
During the early phases, avoid spending unnecessary time on Steal Fans and Fan Movement when they do not contribute to your immediate objective. Reinforce your main territory instead and create a strong route toward the Stronghold you want to attack.
This turns the mode into a simple loop. Expand through simulations, reinforce your position, and manually play the important Stronghold games. The fewer unnecessary matchups you play, the more time remains for actual mission progress.
Difficulty should support the statistics you are trying to earn. Veteran can offer a useful balance for players who want manageable CPU opponents while still getting reasonable opportunities to hit the ball well.
Rookie is easier, but its slower pitch behavior can sometimes make offensive missions less comfortable. If your current objective involves home runs or other hitting statistics, use a setting where your timing and pitch recognition remain consistent.
The goal is not simply to finish the Stronghold as quickly as possible. It is to finish while producing useful statistics for the cards and programs you are targeting.
The best Conquest sessions become repetitive in a good way. Check the programs, select mission cards, choose a suitable map, simulate ordinary territories, and manually handle Strongholds.
With this approach, buy MLB Stubs should not replace normal gameplay planning. Your Conquest strategy can remain focused on earning program progress while your broader Diamond Dynasty resources are managed separately. The more objectives you combine into each short game, the less time you need to spend repeating the same tasks later.
